Jets Loan Phillips, Salomonsson to Moose
By: Manitoba Moose Staff | Published: February 5th 2026The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club announced today the team reassigned defencemen Isaak Phillips and Elias Salomonsson to the Moose.
Phillips, 24, has 15 points (3G, 12A) and a plus-five rating in 35 games with the Moose this season and appeared in a pair of games with the Jets. The Barrie, Ont. product has appeared in 271 AHL contests split between the Moose and Rockford IceHogs. Phillips has 58 NHL games to his name, tallying 12 points (2G, 10A) with the Jets and Chicago Blackhawks. Phillips was Chicago’s fifth round selection (141st overall) in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Salomonsson, 21, has eight points (1G, 7A) in 25 games with the Moose so far this season. The Skellefteå, Sweden export has 35 points (6G, 29A) in 78 career AHL contests. The defender has also appeared in 13 games with the Winnipeg Jets, making his NHL debut on Nov. 26 against the Washington Capitals. Salomonsson represented the Moose at the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic, becoming just the second Moose rookie defenceman to appear at the annual showcase. He was named Manitoba’s Best Defenceman and Rookie of the Year at the close of the 2024-25 campaign. Salomonsson was a second round pick (55th overall) of the Jets in the 2022 NHL Draft.
