Jets Loan Elias Salomonsson to Moose

The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club announced today the team loaned defenceman Elias Salomonsson to the Moose.
Salomonsson, 21, played in four games during his stint with the Jets. The defender made his NHL debut Nov. 26 against the Washington Capitals. Salomonsson also has six assists in 17 games with the Moose so far this season. The Skellefteå, Sweden export has 33 points (5G, 28A) in 70 career AHL contests. Salomonsson represented the Moose at the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic, becoming just the second Moose rookie defenceman to appear at the annual showcase. He was named Manitoba's Best Defenceman and Rookie of the Year at the close of the 2024-25 campaign.
Salomonsson was a second round pick (55th overall) of the Jets in the 2022 NHL Draft.
The Moose return to home ice this weekend to face the Iowa Wild on Friday and Sunday. Friday's game is Soirée Francophone, featuring performances from Les Barn Boys, with puck drop set for 7 p.m. Sunday's game is the annual Teddy Bear Toss, presented by Booster Juice, in support of Christmas Cheer Board and is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tickets are available at moosehockey.com/tickets.
