The Moose have points in three consecutive games after the 4-3 victory. Texas fell 2-0 to the Iowa Wild in their previous game on Oct. 25. Philling up the Point Sheet

Phil Di Giuseppe was a handful for the opposition in Manitoba’s six consecutive away games between Oct. 17 and Oct. 29. The Toronto, Ont. native had five points (3G, 2A) in the stretch, including a point in each of his past three games (2G, 1A). Two of Di Giuseppe’s markers through the first eight games of the campaign have come shorthanded, bringing his career total to three. Previously, he had one shorthanded tally in 328 games in his AHL career. The 32-year-old sits atop the Moose leaderboard with 32 shots on goal, the fifth-most in the league.

Shaw is Rolling

Mason Shaw got his season rolling while away from Canada Life Centre over the past six games. In his previous five contests, Manitoba’s captain has four points (1G, 3A), including a multi-point (1G, 1A) game on Oct. 29 against the Tucson Roadrunners. Shaw has 10 shots on goal in his past three games, owning a plus-three rating in the meantime. The 26-year-old led the Moose with 37 points (17G, 20A) a season ago, and is currently tied with five others for third on the club.

Tending the Goal

The goaltending duo of Thomas Milic and Domenic DiVincentiis are coming off a strong series against the Tucson Roadrunners. The young pairing combined for a .948 save percentage and a 1.51 goals-against average in the two games, with Milic contributing a shutout to the cause. On Oct. 28, Milic stopped all 26 shots he faced, blanking the Roadrunners en route to a 2-0 win, his first of the season. DiVincentiis followed it up with a strong outing of his own, stopping 29 shots, adding a second win to his total. Milic has turned in a .909 save percentage and 2.37 goals against average in his first three starts of the year, allowing seven goals on 77 shots.

One Month Down

The Moose move into November with a 3-4-1-0 record following a road-heavy month of October. Their schedule featured two games against the Laval Rocket at Canada Life Centre (1-1-0-0) to open the campaign, followed by six consecutive away games (2-3-1-0), three of which were against the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Moose finished the month in fourth in the Central Division, riding a 2-0-1-0 streak. David Gustafsson paced the club with six points (2G, 4A) through the first month of the season, while Phil Di Giuseppe and Walker Duehr led the Moose with three goals apiece. Manitoba will play 13 games in November, eight of which are on home ice.
