The Manitoba Moose (4-6-2-0) clash with the Rockford IceHogs (7-5-1-0) for the first time this season on Wednesday night. The Moose are coming off a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Texas Stars on Saturday night. Colby Barlow scored the game-winner. Rockford claimed their own 3-2 win over the Iowa Wild on Sunday. 100 Kilometres on the Gus Bus
The next time David Gustafsson hits the ice, it will be his 100th career AHL game, all of which have been in antlers. The Tingsryd, Sweden native’s 11 games with the Moose this season have been productive, scoring a team-high eight points (3G, 5A) and posting a plus-one rating. Gustafsson has a pair of multi-point games this season, the first of which came in his first game of 2025-26 on Oct. 12. Currently, he’s riding a two-game point streak (1G, 1A). In his 99 games thus far, Gustafsson has scored 67 points (27G, 40A), including six game-winning goals.
Different Sources
The Moose got offence out of a couple of new sources in their 3-2 win over the Texas Stars on Saturday evening. Trailing by a 2-1 scoreline midway through the third period, Fabian Wagner and Colby Barlow each scored their first goals of the season just 25 seconds apart. Wagner’s first tally of the season comes 10 games into the campaign after breaking through 32 games into the 2024-25 season. Barlow’s tally comes after the winger previously scored his first professional goal on April 19/24 during a three-game stint with the Moose. Manitoba is up to 17 players with at least one point, including Brayden Yager and Chase Yoder, who recorded their first career AHL points this season.
Sautner Trending Hot
Ashton Sautner, who is now up to three points (3A) on the season, has an assist in each of his past two games. The Flin Flon, Man. product is closing in on a pair of milestones, as well. Sautner is 12 games away from his 500th in the AHL, and is only two points shy (23G, 71A) of his 100th in the league. He finished his previous game with a plus-two rating on Nov. 8. Sautner has been one of Manitoba’s alternate captains since 2023-24.
Conley Returns
Kevin Conley was recalled from the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals by the Moose on Tuesday. Following his loan to Norfolk on Nov. 6, Conley scored two goals in three games with the Admirals. He also has one goal in two games of action with the Moose this season. The University of Nebraska-Omaha alumni tallied six points (3G, 3A) in 34 games with the Moose during the 2024-25 campaign, his first with the organization. Conley owns 28 points (14G, 14A) in 131 career AHL outings split between the Moose and Iowa Wild.

Brayden Yager had a pair of assists in Manitoba’s 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Texas Stars last time out on Nov. 8. It was his first multi-point game in the AHL, and brought his season total to six points (2G, 4A) through 12 games. The rookie forward scored his first goal of the season in his first professional game on Oct. 10.
