Good Company
Thomas Milic pitched his fourth shutout of the season on Saturday, turning away 32 shots in a 1-0 victory over the Belleville Senators. The performance pushed him into a tie for fifth in Moose franchise history in single-season shutouts alongside the likes of Connor Hellebuyck (2015-16), Eddie Pasquale (11-12, 12-13), and Cory Schneider (2009-10). His five career shutouts as a member of the club ties his for ninth-most all time with Michael Hutchinson, Eddie Lack, and current Moose developmental goaltending coach Drew MacIntyre. Currently, Milic has the third-most shutouts in the AHL, while owning the seventh-best goals against average (2.45) and save percentage (.911).
Dangling Through
Brayden Yager went dangling through the Belleville Senators’ defences before setting up Samuel Fagemo for the game-winning goal on Saturday evening, recording his 26th point (9G, 17A) in his rookie campaign. Yager has been one of Manitoba’s most dangerous offensive figures in March, scoring a team-high eight points (2G, 6A). His stat line is matched only by veteran forward Phil Di Giuseppe. Both of Yager’s goals in the month have come on the power play, while he has added two more helpers while working on a man-advantage. Yager has scored six points (1G, 5A) in eight road games in March, the most of anyone on the Moose.
10 to Play
The Moose are into the home stretch of the regular season, with just 10 games remaining on the schedule. Tonight’s game in Toronto brings a close to the team’s penultimate road trip of the year. Upon return to Winnipeg, the Moose embark on their final homestand of the season, meeting the Grand Rapids Griffins, Milwaukee Admirals, and Texas Stars for a pair of games each. Manitoba closes its season with a final Central Division road swing, meeting the Chicago Wolves on April 15th, before a pair of meetings with the Iowa Wild on April 17 and 18. The Moose currently sit fourth in the Central Division, with their magic number to clinch a playoff berth down to eight points.
Road Warriors
Manitoba has seen its share of success away from Canada Life Centre this season, putting together a 15-14-3-0 record. Mason Shaw and Phil Di Giuseppe are tied for the team scoring lead on the road with 19 points, while 10 players have scored at least 10 points. The power play is operating at a rate 5.1 percent better on the road compared to at home, while the penalty kill has also been better as the visitors, improving by 5.7 percent comparatively.
Who’s Trending?

Fagemo is one of four players to dress in all 62 games the Moose have played this season.
