The Manitoba Moose (11-24-1-1) wrap up the first month of 2025 against the Milwaukee Admirals (21-14-3-3) tonight (7 p.m. CT) at UWM Panther Arena. The Moose are coming off a 3-1 defeat in Chicago on Wednesday, while Milwaukee picked up a 2-1 win at home against the Stars. The road team has won all four games of the season series between the Moose and Admirals. Both Manitoba's wins in Milwaukee came in extra time. Shipping Up To Boston
The Winnipeg Jets announced on Thursday the team recalled forward Parker Ford from the Moose. The Providence College alum is second on the Moose with 17 points (11G, 6A) in 36 games, and leads the club with 11 goals. Ford previously totalled 41 points (18G, 23A) as a rookie during the 2023-24 season. Prior to missing Wednesday’s contest against the Wolves, Ford had skated in 116 consecutive AHL contests, starting April 1/23. He was the only Moose skater to play in all 72 games last season, and one of three to skate in each of the club’s first 36 matchups this season. Ford was one of just 17 AHL skaters to play all 72 games in 2023-24.
Back in the Saddle
Elias Salomonsson made his return to the lineup in Wednesday night’s action. The Swedish defenceman had been sidelined with an injury, and last skated with the club on Dec. 6/24. Salomonsson has recorded 12 points (3G, 9A) in 18 appearances this season, and recorded a team-high three shots on goal in his return. Salomonsson is sixth among all AHL rookie defenceman in points-per-game, and leads all Manitoba rookies in points. He was also named to the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic, and will represent the Moose in Coachella Valley from Feb. 2-3.
Putting on Antlers
Ryan Chyzowski played his first game as a member of the Moose on Wednesday night. The Kamloops, BC product started his season in the ECHL with the Norfolk Admirals, where he recorded 21 points (8G, 13A) in 29 appearances. Chyzowski posted 88 points (43G, 45A) in 107 career ECHL contests, split between the Admirals, the Reading Royals, and the Newfoundland Growlers. The forward also skated in 59 career AHL games with the Toronto Marlies from 2021-2023, and registered eight points (7G, 1A). He is one of four plays to log time with both the Norfolk Admirals and Moose this season.
Another Notch
Ben King scored the lone goal for Manitoba in Wednesday’s loss to Chicago. The Vernon, BC product has recorded seven goals on the campaign, tying him for second on the Moose roster. King’s 12 points (7G, 5A) are tied for seventh on the club. He’s also one of six Moose skaters to record both a power play and game-winning goal this season. King previously registered 30 points (15G, 15A) as a rookie with the San Diego Gulls during the 2023-24 season. He was tied for fifth on the Gulls in goals and tied for 23rd among all AHL rookies.

Tyrel Bauer picked up a primary assist in Wednesday’s contest against the Wolves; his first primary point of the campaign. The Cochrane, Alta. product has recorded two points (2A) this season, and ranks fourth on the Moose with 48 penalty minutes. Bauer previously registered seven points (2G, 5A) in 56 outings during the 2023-24 season.
