The Horn Keeps Sounding
Dylan Anhorn has been hot of late, recording all of his five points (1G, 4A) on the season in his past six games, currently enjoying a three-game point streak (3A). The Calgary, Alta. native has played in 67 career AHL games, posting 22 points (4G, 18A) from the blueline. When Anhorn records a point this season, the Moose hold a 5-0-0-0 record, and when he dresses for a game, Manitoba has gone 14-3-1-0, including wins in five of their past six such contests. He currently owns a plus-three rating.
Transactions Aplenty
Transactions made headlines on Tuesday morning, with four members of the Moose being called up to the Winnipeg Jets, and a pair of Norfolk Admirals moving up to the Moose. Forward Walker Duehr, defencemen Elias Salomonsson and Ville Heinola, and goaltender Domenic DiVincentiis crossed the hall to the Jets’ room, while defenceman Ben Zloty and goaltender Isaac Poulter returned to the antlered ones. Duehr, Salomonsson, and Heinola have combined for 57 points (16G, 41A) in 112 games this season, with Salomonsson contributing another 13 games with the Jets in 2025-26. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 26 at Washington. DiVincentiis joins the Jets for the second time on the campaign, boasting a .909 save percentage in the AHL in 24 starts this season. Poulter has played in three games in antlers, a small portion of his 80 career AHL games. This season, he’s 2-0-0 with the Moose, and owns a 2.85 GAA, .902 SV%, and a 16-11-0 record with the Admirals in the AHL on the campaign.
Busing to New Heights
Forward David Gustafsson heads into this evening’s action looking to set a new career high. Gustafsson picked up his 30th point (9G, 21A) with a goal and an assist in Monday’s loss to Calgary. That matches the Tingsryd, Sweden product’s previous AHL career high set during the 2021-22 campaign, when he tallied 30 points (15G, 15A) in 47 games. Gustafsson already holds a new career high with 21 assists on the season. The 2018 Winnipeg Jets second round pick has points in three straight games, and points in five of his past six games with seven points (2G, 5A) in that span.
Who’s Trending?
Thomas Milic has been strong in the Moose goal in his past five outings, posting a save percentage of .929 or better in four of those games. That span includes a 34-save effort in a 2-1 overtime win over the Laval Rocket on Jan. 16. Milic has a 3-2-0 record in that stretch. He was a fifth-round pick by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2023 NHL Draft.
