The Manitoba Moose (21-15-3-0) host the final meeting of the season with the Rockford IceHogs (16-24-2-2) on Sunday afternoon. Manitoba claimed a 4-1 win over the IceHogs on Saturday afternoon, earning its fourth victory in the past five games. The Moose are 6-3-1-0 in their past 10 games. The defeat was Rockford’s fourth consecutive loss.

Forget One, I Want Two
Jacob Julien reached another personal milestone on Saturday afternoon, recording his first professional point with a first-period assist against the Rockford IceHogs. He picked up another helper on Jaret Anderson-Dolan’s second goal of the contest, notching his first career professional multi-point game for good measure. Julien played his fifth professional game on Saturday, skating in his first two with the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals and a further three with the Moose. The London, Ont. native was a fifth-round pick by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2023 NHL Draft.
It’s a Double JAD
Jaret Anderson-Dolan came up big for the Moose on Saturday, scoring both the game-winning and the go-ahead goal. The goals were his seventh and eighth of the season, bringing his season total to 17 points (8G, 9A). His plus-two rating was tied for tops on the team in the game. The Calgary, Alta. product has six points (3G, 3A) in seven games against the IceHogs, accounting for 35 percent of his production on the season. Anderson-Dolan played his 200th AHL game on Jan. 13 at Rockford. Through 205 games, he has amassed 115 points (49G, 66A), splitting time between the Moose and the Ontario Reign.

The Moose closed the book on January with their sixth victory of the month on Saturday, going 6-3-1-0 in 10 games. Captain Mason Shaw led the way for Manitoba in the month, scoring eight points (6G, 2A) and firing a team-high 29 shots on goal. Thomas Milic was spectacular in his six games, going 4-2-0 with a 2.12 goals against average and a .912 save percentage. The Moose finished the month with an even goal differential and outshot their opposition 304-265. They finished strong, winning four of their past five games, including a pair of wins over the Laval Rocket and a victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins. Manitoba’s penalty kill was successful 85.3 percent of the time in those contests.

Moose netminder Domenic DiVincentiis’ next game will be the 50th appearance of his AHL career. DiVincentiis holds a 22-22-3 record through his first 49 career games, supported by a 2.84 goals-against average, .903 save percentage and three shutouts. The Bolton, Ont. product made his AHL debut in Iowa on Oct. 13/24, making 37 saves in a 3-2 Moose win over the Wild. DiVincentiis will be the 17th Moose goaltender to appear in 50 games with the franchise, matching Michael Hutchinson on the all-time list. He was a seventh round pick of the Winnipeg Jets in the 2022 NHL Draft.
