Offensive Barrage
The Moose scored a season-high seven goals in Sunday’s win over the Wild. Their previous season-high of six was also recorded against the Wild, in the club’s season opener on Oct. 12. The Moose have averaged 4.25 goals per game in four matchups against the Wild this season. The effort also marks just the third time this season that the Moose have recorded multiple power play goals in a single game. Nine different Moose skaters registered at least one point in the outing, with seven players recording two or more points.
Multi-Goal Madness
Dylan Coghlan recorded his first multi-goal game as a member of the Moose on Sunday afternoon. The Duncan, B.C. export has posted six points (4G, 2A) in 11 games with the Moose this season. He currently leads all Manitoba defenders in goals, and is ranked fourth on the Moose roster in points per game. Coghlan previously co-led all AHL defencemen with 16 goals during the 2023-24 season as a member of the Springfield Thunderbirds. He also led all rookie defencemen in goals during the 2018-19 campaign while skating with the Chicago Wolves. Coghlan is the second Moose defenceman to record a multi-goal game this season, alongside Elias Salomonsson.
Dishing
Brad Lambert posted three assists in Sunday’s win over the Wild; the first three-assist game of his AHL career. The outing also serves as Lambert’s fifth multi-point game this season, and the third three-point game of his career. He currently leads the Moose with 16 assists, and co-leads the club with 19 points (3G, 16A) alongside Mason Shaw and Parker Ford. Lambert previously led the Moose with 55 points (21G, 34A) as a rookie during the 2023-24 season. He ranked second among all AHL rookies in both assists and points that season.
Another Game, Another Goal(s)
Parker Ford recorded two goals in Manitoba’s win over Iowa on Sunday afternoon. The outing was his second multi-goal effort through his past four appearances. The Providence College alum currently leads the club with 13 goals, and has posted nine tallies through his past 11 games with the Moose. He’s also recorded one goal in three appearances with the Winnipeg Jets. Ford’s first goal on Sunday marked his second game-winning goal of the season, making him one of just three Moose skaters to register multiple game-winners this season. Ford previously led the Moose with seven game-winning markers as a rookie during the 2023-24 season.
