The Manitoba Moose (12-9-2-0) are set for a second meeting with the Iowa Wild (6-15-0-1) in as many days on Sunday. Manitoba fell 3-0 to the Wild on Saturday evening, their first loss in three games. They are 7-3-0-0 in their past 10 games. Iowa snapped a six-game losing skid with the win. The victory was Iowa’s second straight on home ice. A Big One for Sautner
When Ashton Sautner next steps onto the ice for an AHL game, it’ll be his 500th in the league. The Flin Flon, Man. native has played parts of 11 seasons in the AHL, suiting up with the Moose, Abbotsford Canucks, and Utica Comets in that span. Sautner made his debut on Oct. 17/15, in Utica’s 3-0 loss to the Hartford Wolf Pack. His first point came 13 days later, when he set up Blair Jones for the game-winning goal against the Binghamton Senators. Sautner reached the 100-point (23G, 77A) milestone on Nov. 15 with an assist against the Rockford IceHogs. He has played 218 of his 499 games with the Moose, with whom he has scored 38 points (9G, 29A). The 31-year-old was named an alternate captain for the Moose in 2023-24, a role he has served ever since. Through 20 games this season, the veteran blueliner has five points, all of which are assists, and owns a plus-eight rating, tied for the highest mark on the team.
Lambo’s 150th
Brad Lambert will also tick off a milestone the next time he plays in a game, reaching 150 career AHL contests. The Winnipeg Jets’ first-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft has played all 149 games with the Moose, scoring 97 points (31G, 66A) in the process. This season, the Lahti, Finland native has four points (1G, 3A) in his 10 games, but all of them came in the past six contests. Lambert began the season with the Jets, where he scored his first-career NHL goal. Lambert made his AHL debut Oct. 15/22 against the Rockford IceHogs. His first full season saw Lambert named to the 2024 AHL All-Rookie Team.
Familiar Foe
Mason Shaw is no stranger to the Iowa Wild, having spent 197 games with the team between 2017 and 2024. In nine career games against his old team, Shaw has seven points (3G, 4A), including an overtime winner. Drafted in the fourth round by the Minnesota Wild in 2017, Shaw scored 121 points (43G, 78A) with Iowa, contributing another goal in the playoffs in 2019. The Wainwright, Atla. native was named an assistant captain for the Wild in 2020-21 and named captain ahead of the 2022-23 season. Shaw played 82 games with the big club in Minnesota across three seasons, scoring 20 points (8G, 12A), setting a career-high of 17 points (7G, 10A) in 2022-23. Ahead of the 2024-25 season, Shaw signed with the Winnipeg Jets, and became Manitoba’s assistant captain. In his first season in antlers, Shaw led the club with 37 points (17G, 20A) before re-signing in the offseason. He was named Moose captain prior to the season. In 23 games in 2025-26, Shaw has 13 points (4G, 9A), tied for second on the team.

Product fired a personal season-high four shots on goal in last night’s contest, and his eight shots over his past three games. He was a sixth-round pick of the Winnipeg Jets in 2020.
