The Manitoba Moose (6-12-0-0) close out a six-game homestand tonight (6 p.m.) when they rematch with the Belleville Senators (10-4-0-4). Belleville claimed a 6-3 victory last night, battling back from an early 3-0 Moose lead. Chaz Lucius and Jaret Anderson-Dolan each scored their first goals of the season for the Moose and added assists.

Allow Me to Re-Introduce Myself
Chaz Lucius made his return to the lineup on Friday night and scored his first goal since Nov. 26/23. The Lawrence, Kan. product registered two points (1G, 1A) in the matchup against Belleville, marking the third multi-point contest of his career, and his second against the Senators. Lucius also recorded two points (2A) in his one game against the Senators during the 2023-24 season. The Winnipeg Jets 2021 first round pick has recorded four points (1G, 3A) in four games with Manitoba this season and previously recorded 13 points (2G, 11A) in 17 games with the club in 2023-24.
Building Momentum
Jaret Anderson-Dolan recorded two points (1G, 1A) in Friday night’s battle against Belleville, including his first goal in a Moose uniform. Anderson-Dolan recorded two goals in three AHL games with the Ontario Reign last season, and a career-high of 24 goals during the 2021-22 campaign. The Calgary, Alta. export has recorded points in both of his past two games with the Moose. He previously recorded points in back-to-back games 21 times with the Ontario Reign during the 2021-22 season, including a career-high seven game point streak.
Trio
Parker Ford recorded his third goal of the season last night. The sophomore forward previously recorded 18 goals in 72 games with the Moose as a rookie during the 2023-24 season. Ford also lead the club with seven game-winning goals that season, which was the second-most amongst all AHL rookies. With Ford’s tally, Manitoba has nine different players with at least three goals through the first 18 contests of the season.
One Quarter Down
The Moose completed the first quarter of the regular season last night. Manitoba holds a record of 6-12-0-0 through the opening 18 games. Nikita Chibrikov (4G, 8A) and Elias Salomonsson (3G, 9A) lead the team with 12 points on the season. Dominic Toninato’s five goals lead the Moose so far, while Salomonsson’s nine helpers pace the team in that category. The Moose power play is operating at a 14.8 percent success rate while the penalty kill has turned aside 80 percent of opposition power play.

Dominic Toninato recorded an assist in the second period against Belleville on Friday night, picking up his eighth point (5G, 3A) of the season. Toninato currently leads the Moose with five goals, and the club remains 5-0-0-0 in games when Toninato scores a goal. The Duluth, Minn. product has five points (3G, 2A) over his past eight games.
