Phil Di Giuseppe has been a road warrior for the Moose, scoring 10 points (4G, 6A) to lead the way offensively.

Spin It Like a Record

Close games have been the modus operandi for the Moose through 21 games this season. Manitoba owns a 6-0-2-0 record in one-goal games, and is 2-1-0-0 in two-goal games. They are yet to lose when leading through 20 minutes (4-0-0-0), and haven’t lost in regulation when leading through two periods of play (7-0-1-0). The Moose are still better than .500 when trailing after one frame with a 4-3-0-0 record. The Moose have held an edge on the shot clock in 12 of their 21 games, picking up points in nine such games (7-3-2-0).

His recent stretch accounts for half of his eight points (4G, 4A).  Clague is tied for fourth in goals among defencemen across the AHL and ranks second among Moose blueliners in points. In 274 career games, Clague is closing in on 150 points, currently standing at 146 points (34G, 112A). He is second on the club with 51 shots on goal.

Homestanding on Business

Manitoba’s win over Chicago on Sunday helped the team close out its six-game homestand with a 4-2-0-0 record. Manitoba scored a trio of victories over the Wolves and one more against the Belleville Senators, dropping a contest to each opponent in the process. They tied their opposition 16-16 on the scoreboard, and held a 182-176 edge on the shot clock. On Nov. 26, they tied their season-high of five goals, downing the Senators 5-1. Manitoba’s power play scored a pair of goals during the homestand, going 15.4 percent, while the penalty kill stayed hot, successfully killing off penalties at an 84.5 percent frequency.
