Fast Facts: Moose vs. Texas – Dec. 29

The Manitoba Moose (7-17-0-1) host the Texas Stars (15-11-1-0) in the penultimate game of 2024 this afternoon (2 p.m.). It's the third meeting of the season between the clubs after Texas won a pair of games against Manitoba in October. The Moose are coming off a 5-1 loss on Dec. 22 while the Stars won their previous outing, 3-2 in overtime, against Grand Rapids.
The first 2,000 fans through the doors at Canada Life Centre today will receive a 25th Season Mick E. Moose mini bobblehead. Tickets are available at moosehockey.com/tickets.
That’s 100 In the Books
Brad Lambert played his 100th AHL contest on Dec. 22. The Finnish forward has recorded 69 points (26G, 43A) through his 100 games, and previously led the Moose with 55 points (21G, 34A) as a rookie during the 2023-24 season. The former AHL All-Rookie Team member has 11 points (3G, 8A) through 22 games with the club this season, and has appeared in four games with the Winnipeg Jets. Lambert is the fourth player to play his 100th career game with Manitoba this season, alongside Kevin Conley, Tyson Empey, and Parker Ford. Lambert and Ford played all 100 games in a Moose jersey.
Powered Up
Jaret Anderson-Dolan recorded his first power play goal of the season against Rockford before the break. The Calgary, Alta. product has registered 15 power play goals in the AHL, with a career high of 12, scored in the 2021-22 season with the Ontario Reign. Anderson-Dolan has posted four points (2G, 2A) in during the month of December, leading the team in scoring for the month alongside Mason Shaw
(1G, 3A). He becomes one of seven Moose skaters to score on the power play this season, and one of just two Moose newcomers to do so, alongside Elias Salomonsson.
Transaction Wire
The Winnipeg Jets recalled Dylan Coghlan from the Moose. Coghlan appeared in two games with the Moose this season, recording one goal in his first outing. He has played a total of 192 AHL contests, and registered 109 points (45G, 64A). The Duncan, BC export has also appeared in one game with the Jets this season, and recorded two shots on goal against the Vegas Golden Knights. Forward Daniel Torgersson was placed on unconditional waivers for the purposes of terminating his contract. Torgersson appeared in 137 career games with the Moose, posting 32 points (14G, 18G). He appeared in 12 contests with the club this season.
Dishing Out Pucks
Elias Salomonsson and Axel Jonsson-Fjällby lead the Moose with nine assists each. Jonsson-Fjällby leads the way in primary assists, with seven, followed by Salomonsson and Mason Shaw with five each. Nikita Chibrikov leads the club with five secondary assists, closely followed by Salomonsson and Brad Lambert, each with four. Lambert led all Moose rookies in assists during the 2023-24 season, and was second on the club, behind former Moose and current Texas Stars defenceman Kyle Capobianco. Capobianco led the club in both primary (21) and secondary assists (21). Lambert led all forwards in secondary assists (17).

Dylan Anhorn picked up a power play assist against the IceHogs before the holiday break; his first AHL power play point. Anhorn has recorded four points (2G, 2A) through 21 games with the Moose this season, and leads all Moose defencemen with 34 shots on goal. He is one of two Moose defenceman to register a point on the power play this season.
