The Manitoba Moose (6-14-0-1) continue their road swing through Western Canada when they face the Abbotsford Canucks (12-10-0-1) tonight (9 p.m. CT). The Moose are coming off a pair of defeats in Calgary after Wednesday's comeback bid fell short in a 6-3 loss. Mason Shaw and Dominic Toninato each posted a goal and an assist in the loss. The Canucks roll in having won two straight, following a 5-2 win in Colorado. Not Bad for Game 301
C.J. Suess recorded his fifth goal of the campaign on Wednesday night, in shorthanded fashion. The tally marks the fourth shorthanded goal of his career, and his first since April 24/22. Suess’ four shorthanded efforts are the third-most of any current Moose player. Captain Dominic Toninato leads the way with nine. Suess and Toninato are the only active Moose players to have recorded five or more goals through the 2024-25 campaign so far. The Forest Lake, Minn. export joins Dylan Anhorn, Parker Ford, and Axel Johnson-Fjällby as Moose skaters who have recorded a short-handed goal this season.
Nice SHAW-t
Mason Shaw posted a goal and an assist on Wednesday. The outing marked his first multi-point game since becoming a member of the Moose. Shaw becomes the 12th player on Manitoba’s roster to record at least one multi-point game this season. The Wainwright, Alta. product has 26 multi-point performances throughout his AHL career, including a career-high 12 multi-point games with the Iowa Wild during the
2021-22 season. He also recorded career highs in points, goals, and assists that season, posting 19 goals and 52 points through 62 games. Shaw has registered nine points (4G, 5A) through 21 appearances with the Moose this season.
Toni Time
Dominic Toninato recorded his sixth goal of the campaign against the Wranglers on Wednesday night. The Moose captain currently leads the club in goals, and remains the only Moose skater to have recorded multiple game-winning goals this season. Toninato’s six tallies land him just one goal away from matching his total from the 2023-24 season, in which he recorded seven goals in 37 games. The Duluth, Minn. product previously notched a career-high of 19 goals in 50 games with Manitoba during the 2022-23 season, including six game-winners. He also set a career-high of 35 points (19G, 16A) that season.
Helping Hands
Axel Jonsson-Fjällby picked up an assist in Calgary Wednesday night; his third helper in as many games. The Stockholm, Sweden export currently leads all Moose forwards with nine assists, seven of those being primary points. His nine helpers have him tied for ninth amongst Swedish AHLers in assists, alongside his Moose teammate Elias Salomonsson. Jonsson-Fjällby previously picked up 18 helpers in 41 games during the 2023-24 season; the eighth-most on the Moose that season. Johnson-Fjällby has 10 points (1G, 9A) on the campaign so far, leaving him tied for fourth on the Manitoba leaderboard.

Simon Lundmark recorded an assist on Wednesday, and has points in two of his past three games. The Swedish defender owns six points (2G 4A) in 18 games this season. Lundmark is one of three Moose defenders to record multiple goals this season, and is the only Moose defenceman score a game-winning goal.
