Up, Up, and Away

The Winnipeg Jets recalled both Parker Ford and Danny Zhilkin from the Moose on Friday morning under emergency conditions. It’s both skaters’ second time on the Jets roster this season, with Ford cracking the opening night roster, and Zhilkin earning his first NHL call-up on Jan. 7. Zhilkin and Ford have combined for 43 points (17G, 26A) through 99 games with the Moose this season, ranking 10th and 11th on the club, respectively. Combined, they have skated in 15 NHL games in 2025-26, with Ford recording an assist.

Give and Take

Following the two recalls earlier in the day, the Moose called up two players of their own. On Friday, Manitoba recalled Winnipeg, Man. native Reece Vitelli from the Savannah Ghost Pirates. They followed it up with another on Saturday, bringing Jaydon Dureau into the fold from the Norfolk Admirals. Vitelli has appeared in eight games with the Moose this season. He has posted 22 points (8G, 14A) in 33 ECHL. Dureau has an ECHL career-high 41 points (14G, 27A) in 47 games with the Admirals this season. The White City, Sask. product has 36 games of AHL experience with the Syracuse Crunch, posting seven points (3G, 4A) over parts of five seasons.

The Ontario League

The Senators celebrate the history of the Belleville Bulls on Saturday afternoon, a team which played in the Ontario Hockey League. Four current Moose cut their teeth in the OHL, with Domenic DiVincentiis, Isaak Phillips, Colby Barlow, and Jacob Julien all skating in the league. DiVincentiis played in 117 games with the North Bay Battalion, posting a 77-26-7 record and a .907 save percentage. He also appeared in 28 additional playoff games. The skaters combined to play in 533 games, scoring 433 points (209G, 224A). Julien helped the London Knights to back-to-back OHL championships in 2023-24 and 2024-25, where he met Barlow’s Oshawa Generals in the OHL Finals.

A Dangerous Duo

The Moose have combined Mason Shaw and Walker Duehr on the same line in 39 of their 61 games in 2025-26, putting two of their top three point-getters on the ice at the same time. The pair have combined for 67 points (29G, 38A) this season, with Shaw leading the Moose with 37 points (15G, 22A) thus far. Rookie forward Jacob Julien has centred the Shaw/Duehr line each of the past two games, but David Gustafsson has been the grouping’s most common centre, suiting up between Shaw and Duehr 32 times over the course of the campaign.

Isaak Phillips leads all Moose defencemen with 24 points (9G, 15A) through 61 games this season, recording a goal in Manitoba’s game against the Toronto Marlies on Wednesday evening. The Barrie, Ont. native has played in 95 games in antlers since being acquired via trade a season ago. He has played 295 games in his AHL career, tallying 111 points (35G, 76A).
