Summer Community Promotions
The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club is proud to be part of our community. During the summer months Mick E. Moose and our promotional team will appear at various community events throughout Manitoba. Below are some of the photos of Mick E. Moose and the team visiting some of these great community events.
Five Hole For Food
Five Hole For Food started as a hockey trip across Canada but then road hockey enthusiast, and pilot of the trip Richard Loat, thought that it could be so much more. The concept of incorporating some sort of charity to benefit local communities led to a discussion with Winnipeg game host Jimmy Mac who coined the phrase “Five Hole for Food”. From there it has evolved into a social media effort of networks and partners to create a cross country food drive where hockey fans play a variation of the game and the local community benefits. Saturday, July 3, 2010 was the stop in Winnipeg at Earl Grey Community Centre for Five Hole For Food, supporting Winnipeg Harvest
Canad Inns Canad Day Picnic in the Park
A family oriented day full of all kinds of activities for kids at Assiniboine Park, which include games and activities for children, entertainment, spectacular fireworks display, and Mick E. Moose.
Manitoba Marathon
The 32nd Annual Manitoba Marathon was run on Sunday, June 20th. Mick E. Moose was on hand to cheer on all the bold runners.
Community Vibes Cookout
The First Annual Community Vibes Cookout was hosted in Central Park in Winnipeg on Saturday, June 19th and Mick E. Moose was fortunate enough to make it out for this exciting community event.
Scoops Ice Cream Five Year Anniversary
Scoops Ice Cream in Winnipeg celebrated their Five Year Anniversary on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Mick E. Moose was on hand to help celebrate, and as part of the festivities, Scoops Ice Cream raised money for the Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation.
Tim Hortons Camp Day
Wednesday, June 2, 2010 is a special day for Tim Hortons Store Owners, staff and customers. It's Camp Day! Camp Day is the one day a year when Tim Hortons Store Owners across Canada and the United States donate every penny from coffee sales to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation. In 2009, Camp Day raised more than $9.4 million.
Teddy Bears' Picnic
The 24th annual Teddy Bears' Picnic was held on Sunday, May 30, 2010. Over two decades ago, the Teddy Bears' Picnic began its annual tradition of bringing together kids, teddy bears and parents for a day of health education, fun activities and entertainment. The Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba is proud to carry on this great tradition of learning, laughs and lots of fun!
2010 Canadian Air Force Run
Race Day was Sunday, May 30, 2010. The Canadian Air Force Run is offers 5km, 10km, 1/2 Marathon races and a 5 km Family Fun Run. The 2010 run takes participants down the 17 Wing Flight Line where a number of Canadian Air Force Aircraft are parked. After the race, everyone was treated to plenty of food, refreshments, a post-race BBQ and entertainment for all!
Play On! 4-On-4 Street Hockey Tournament
CBC Hockey Night in Canada's Play On! is Canada's most amazing street hockey tournament and outdoor hockey festival, taking place on Memorial Blvd in Winnipeg on May 28 & 29. Hundreds of teams and thousands of participants took to the streets of downtown Winnipeg on 30 separate street "rinks" in the ultimate street hockey showdown.
