Moose Captain Mike Keane and Nolan Baumgartner kicked offthe 2009-10 Respond to Reading program by visiting the Grade Three classes at Whyte Ridge Elementary School (400 Scurfield Blvd). Keane and Baumgartner read "The Moccasin Goalie" to a group of over 110 students and answered any and all questions from the children, as well as signed autographs.

The Manitoba Moose are once again pleased to announce they have partnered with Red River College to launch the Respond to Reading program designed to positively encourage children in kindergarten to grade five to develop their interest in reading.
On Tuesday, December 8th, 2009, Moose Captain Mike Keane and Nolan Baumgartner kicked off the Respond to Reading program by visiting the Grade Three classes at Whyte Ridge Elementary School (400 Scurfield Blvd). Keane and Baumgartner read "The Moccasin Goalie" to a group of classes numbering over 110 students and answered any and all questions from the children, as well as signed autographs.
This exciting program offers unique incentive prizes for the students including the opportunity to have Manitoba Moose players visit their classrooms. Last year, over 40 classrooms participated in this program with great response from teachers and students alike.
