


Finishing in the North: Saturday night's 4-1 win over Milwaukee not only finished the four-game season series
between the clubs, but it also marked the last game of the season against an opponent outside of the North Division. The
Moose have now finished nine season series’ against, Peoria (1-3-0), San Antonio (3-1-0), Houston (2-2-0), Philadelphia
(4-0-0), Wilkes-Barre (2-1-1), Omaha (1-3-0), Iowa (3-1-0), Chicago (3-1-0), and Milwaukee (2-2-0). Manitoba will finish
their season entirely against North Division opponents.
Taking the Next Step: With a 3-2 win by the Grand Rapids Griffins over the Rochester Americans on Sunday
afternoon, the Moose officially clinched a playoff birth for the eighth time in ten seasons since becoming the Manitoba
Moose. Last seasons Calder Cup Playoff run where Manitoba advanced to the Western Conference Final was the furthest the
Moose had ever gone in the post-season.
Breakout Game for Jaffray: With his 10th goal of the season just :54 into last Saturday’s 4-1 win over
Milwaukee, Moose forward Jason Jaffray scored his first goal in his last 16 games. Jaffray also added two assists to mark
his third three point game of his professional career. The Rimbey, Alberta native continues to sit third in team scoring
with those 10 goals and 31 assists for 41 points in 64 games this season.

The Manitoba Moose continued their eight-game homestand this past week with back-to-back games against the Milwaukee
Admirals beginning on Friday night. After being tied at one after 20 minutes on Friday night, the Admirals scored twice in
the first seven minutes of the second frame and held on to hand Manitoba a 4-1 loss. Saturday's game followed a completely
different storyline as the Moose came out firing and took a 4-0 into the first intermission. Maxime Ouellet's shutout bid
came to an end with a third period Admirals goal, but the game finished with a 4-1 Moose win.
The Moose will now begin four games in five nights at the MTS Centre, with Tuesday and Wednesday night games against the
Toronto Marlies. They will conclude the week and their eight-game homestand with a weekend series against the league's best
Grand Rapids Griffins.

Manitoba will begin the week at the MTS Centre as they take on the Toronto Marlies in back-to-back games beginning Tuesday
night with Cindy Klassen night. The Moose will honour the five-time 2006 Olympic Medallist with a pre-game ceremony
Tuesday. Toronto currently sits fourth in the North with a 37-25-5-2 record for 81 points in 69 games. The Marlies'
powerplay is decent scoring 18.8% of the time and ranks 11th in the AHL. Their penalty kill sits 22nd in the league with an
80.7% kill rating.

The Moose will conclude their eight-game homestand with a weekend series against the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Moose enter
the week trailing the Griffins for first place in the North Division by 21 points. Grand Rapids currently leads the league
with a 52-16-1-4 record, good for 95 points and enters the week on a 10-game winning streak. Their powerplay is ranked
first in the AHL, scoring on 110 of 503 opportunities for 21.9%. Their penalty kill hasn't been as successful, sitting 10th
in the league with a 83.2% kill rating. The Moose hold a 2-1-0-3 record against the Griffins this season, with four of the
six games decided in a shootout.

 Lee Goren appeared in both games for the Moose last week, scoring two goals and an assist
for three points. Goren scored a goal in each game and is currently riding a four-game goal-scoring streak. He also fired
10 shots on net and ended the week even in the +/- category. In 34 games this season, Goren now has 17 goals and 16 assists
for 33 points and 56 penalty minutes.
