Marathon Shootout: The 14 rounds required to determine a winner in Wednesday’s shootout set a new Moose
franchise record for the longest shootout in history. Ryan Bayda, Lee Goren, Jason King and Jesse Schultz all had three
attempts and Josh Green had two in the shootout, with only Bayda, Schultz and Goren scoring once each. Eric Manlow finally
ended things when Jason King failed to score and Manlow beat Flaherty in the 14th round. Wednesday night’s shootout was
three rounds longer than a shootout against the Utah Grizzlies on on Dec 12th/98, when the Moose were defeated 3-2 back in
the old International Hockey League.
Out of the Ordinary Attire: With the Moose celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by wearing their third jersey in
Friday night’s 3-2 win over Chicago and also in Saturday night's 4-2 loss to the Wolves, Manitoba now sits with a 2-2-0
record this season in four games playing with a third jersey.
King Well on His Way: After scoring two goals in Friday night’s 3-2 win over the Wolves, Moose forward Jason
King now sits just one goal shy of tying Greg Pankewicz for second all-time on the Moose goal scoring list. Between 1996-98,
Pankewicz notched 74 goals. King now sits with 73 goals in 190 career games played with the Moose, spanning four seasons
with the club. After adding an assist to his two goals on Friday night, King now sits with 15 goals and 10 assists for 25
points in 28 games this season.

The Manitoba Moose began the past week by putting an end to their eight-game road trip with a Wednesday night game in Grand
Rapids. After overtime couldn't settle a 2-2 tie, the teams battled in a shootout for the fourth time in six games this
season. It took a Moose franchise record 14 rounds to decide a winner with the Griffins coming out on top, 3-2. Friday night
was a different story as the Moose returned home to take on the Chicago Wolves. Jason King scored twice and Lee Goren netted
the game-winner as the Moose held on for a 3-2 win. The Wolves spoiled the party on Saturday night after Manitoba took two
late penalties, Scott Barney scored the game-winning goal with under a minute remaining and ex-Moose Justin Morrison
finished things with an empty net marker to give Chicago a 4-2 win.
The Moose will now have a slower week at the MTS Centre as the finish up their season series with Milwaukee on Friday and
