


Road record in October: The Moose are currently struggling through one of their hardest opening months overall
since joing the American Hockey League in 2001. Manitoba’s road record in the month of October since joing the AHL
is 15-13-1-2 while their overall record is 23-22-3-3 in the opening month. This season the Moose play 10 games in
October, six of them on the road. So far the Moose have earned three out of a possible 10 points with tonight’s contest
the last road game of October. Manitoba’s best road record in October was in 2004-05 when the Moose played
nine of their first eleven games on the road. That October, Manitoba was 7-2-0-0 away from home, earning 14 out of
a possible 18 points. Their worst road record to start a season came in their inaugural AHL season when they were
1-3-0-0 in four games.
Goals hard to come by this season: So far this season, the Moose have a scored a total of 15 goals in seven
games, an average of 2.14 goals per game. The previous two seasons, the Moose have averaged 3.04 goals/game in
both 2004-05 and 2005-06. In fact, after losing 2-0 to the Milwaukee Admirals last Friday, the Moose have now been
held scoreless twice already this season. Last year the Moose were shutout only once all season, a 4-0 loss at the
hands of the Peoria Rivermen. In 2003-04, the Moose were shutout an AHL franchise-high seven times.
Tuesday Night Hockey: The Moose play their first Tuesday night game this season when they face the Chicago
Wolves at the Allstate Arena tonight. The Moose will play only six games on Tuesdays throughout the 2006-07 season
with three of them coming on the road. Last season, the Moose were 3-2-0-2 in Tuesday games.

The Manitoba Moose lost their only game of week three as they were shutout 2-0 in their visit to the Milwaukee Bradley Center. The Admirals jumped out to an early lead at 4:15 of the first period and Scott Reid took it from there as he earned his first career AHL shutout making 24 saves, many of them of the spectacular variety in the 2-0 victory. The Moose had several great chances to tie the game but Reid was able to stifle every Moose scoring opportunity. The second goal was into the empty net as the Moose had pulled the goalie to try and score the equalizer.
The Moose are in Chicago to take on the Wolves at the Allstate Arena on Tuesday, October 24th before returning home for a two-game set versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Thursday and Friday. The series will be a part of the Manitoba Moose "Rock 'n Roll Hockey Promotion" where fans will be able to win CD's of upcoming featured acts like Tom Cochrane, The Beach Boys, and Guns 'n Roses as well as concert tickets to their shows. The "Power Puck Pack" offers tickets to the Moose versus Penguins game on Thursday, October 26th which also includes an upperbowl ticket to the soldout Powerball concert at the MTS Centre on November 16th for the low price of $24.97.

 The Moose will play their first meeting of the season against the Chicago Wolves on Tuesday, October 24th. The last meeting between the Moose and Wolves was at the MTS Centre where Chicago scored three unanswered goals in the third period for the 4-2 victory. The last meeting in Chicago the Moose started an eight-game road trip with a 5-2 victory over the Wolves.
 The Moose have their second meeting of the saeson against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Thursday, October 26th and Friday, October 27th. The last meeting between the Moose and Penguins came on the opening night of the AHL season as the home-town Penguins defeated the Moose 3-2 in overtime.

 Drew MacIntyre made the lone start for the Moose this week and suffered his second defeat of the season - 2-0 in Milwaukee…MacIntyre is now 1-2 this season after a win in Toronto and an overtime loss in Wilkes-Barre to go with the Milwaukee loss…MacIntyre now has a goals against average of 1.97 and a save percentage of .938 this season.
