Mike Keane scrimmages with several Moose and former NHL players prior to the start of camp

The Manitoba Moose kicked off training camp Wednesday. The day began with an informal scrimmage between a number of players attending Moose camp as well as others, such as Trevor Kidd, Mike Keane, Lonny Bohonos and Ryan Bonni.

The actual camp began with a 4:30 p.m. meeting at the Fairmont Hotel during which Head Coach Randy Carlyle briefed the players on what was expected of them this upcoming season. Training and communications staff also introduced themselves to the players, and several players introduced themselves to each other.

Following the meeting, any players who did not attend Canucks prospects camp went back to Winnipeg Arena for fitness testing and medicals. The fitness testing consisted of a long jump, exercise cycle, crunches and weight lifting.
