On the heels of two straight shutouts, the Manitoba Moose beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-1 Sunday afternoon to extend their winning streak to four games and steal six points in the North Division standings. Moose rookies ruled the rink, as goalie Cory Schneider made 13 saves for his sixth straight win and Michael Grabner scored two goals.

First Period
Schneider was looking to continue the perfect game he posted in Manitoba's shutout win over Hamilton on Friday night, but only 3:10 into the game, Bulldogs winger Matt D'Agostini got a longshot past the rookie netminder to put the home team up 1-0 and end 130:33 consecutive shutouts minutes for Manitoba.
Shortly after the goal, consecutive Hamilton penalties offered Manitoba back-to-back powerplays, but an interference minor to Moose D-man Nolan Baumgartner only 10 seconds into the second penalty limited the man-advantage and triggered 1:50 of four-on-four play.
At the tail end of the Bulldogs penalty, Colby Genoway snapped a quick pass to Grabner at the corner of the home crease, and the rookie forward tipped it over Yann Danis' left shoulder to tally an even-strength equalizer.
Two minutes after the goal, a scuffle behind Manitoba's net resulted in four minutes for roughing to Shaun Heshka and Kyle Chipchura. Back-and-forth play through the rest of the period put the Moose up seven shots to six but in a 1-1 tie at the buzzer.
Second Period
3:42 into the second period, Hamilton's Mathieu Carle offered Manitoba their third powerplay by taking an interference penalty behind the Bulldogs net. Moose defenceman Maxime Fortunus wasted no time on the man-advantage, one-timing the puck from the point and past Danis to secure his fifth goal of the season, second point of the game, and a 2-1 lead for his club.
A cross-checking penalty to Brett Engelhardt put the Moose back on the powerplay near the game's midway point. Though the club increased its shot-lead to 12-8, Manitoba was unable to score another powerplay goal and dropped 1-for-4 on the man-advantage.
Third Period
A few group shoving matches in front of Schneider's net marked the early part of the third period, but no penalties were awarded and five-on-five play continued until 8:25. At that time, Heshka and Jason Jaffray took consecutive penalties and the Bulldogs spent nearly four straight minutes on the powerplay.
The Moose killed both infractions, and Jaffray burst out of the penalty box on a partial breakaway. The forward struggled to break free from defenceman Jean-Philipe Cote and slid straight into Danis, prompting Cote to pounce on Manitoba's #15. Cote earned a roughing penalty for his actions, and the Moose received their fifth powerplay.
The Bulldogs kept the Moose from tallying a second man-advantage marker, but just as Cote rejoined the play, Grabner beat Danis with a slapshot from the top of the slot to score his second goal of the game and put the Moose up 3-1.
Manitoba would hold on through the final five minutes to secure their fourth win in a row and sweep their three-in-three vs. Divisional opponents.
