In the first game between both clubs this season, the San Antonio Rampage scored four goals in the third period to secure a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over the visiting Manitoba Moose Sunday evening. Moose goalie Drew MacIntyre faced a career-high 51 shots in the loss, his ninth of the season.

First Period

17 seconds in, San Antonio's Joey Tenute was called for hooking and Manitoba headed on an early powerplay. Though the opening five-on-four didn't result in a goal, the Moose benefited from three more man-advantages in the first half of the first. Josh Tordjman was tested with 10 shots, but the Rampage netminder and home penalty-killers stayed perfect and the game stayed scoreless through the 14-minute mark.

With just over five minutes left on the clock, five-on-five play paid off for Manitoba. Situated near the crease, rookie Michael Grabner netted his first goal in four games to give the Moose a 1-0 lead. Fellow first-years Chris Blight and Dylan Yeo earned helpers on the play.

A cross-checking minor to Greg Classen gave the Rampage their first chance at a powerplay equalizer, but a handful of acrobatic saves by Moose netminder Drew MacIntyre protected his club's lead.

A bench minor for too-many-men and slashing penalty to Luc Bourdon ensured the Moose would close out the first and open up the second on the penalty kill.

Second Period

San Antonio started the middle frame on a five-on-three, but Manitoba stifled their third powerplay and stayed up by one. A flurry of minor infractions in the following minutes packed both penalty boxes and opened up the playing surface, and the Rampage responded by breaking the 30-shot mark at the midway point of the period.

Consecutive home penalties gave the Moose a 30-second five-on-three near the five-minute mark, but it would be take a ninth powerplay in the final minute of the second for Manitoba to score on the man-advantage. Poised at either end of the blue line, Jimmy Sharrow wired the puck to Luc Bourdon, who sent it flying past Tordjman to put the Moose up 2-0.

Though the Moose trailed the Rampage 35-22 on the shot-clock, the club carried a two-goal lead into the second intermission.

Third Period

Concurrent roughing and diving penalties to Shaun Heshka and Matt Murley triggered two minutes of four-on-four play early in the third. With 20 seconds left in the penalties, Sharrow took a tripping penalty and San Antonio went back on the powerplay.

40 shots and a seventh penalty-kill would prove to be the breaking point for MacIntyre and the Moose. Firing the home team's 41st, 42nd, and 43rd shots, Enver Lisin, Bill Thomas, and Sean Sullivan rocketed the Rampage from a two-goal deficit to their first lead of the game in the span of 1:37.

But the Moose didn't take long to get the equalizer. With 12 minutes left in the game and Curtis Fraser in the penalty box, Brad Moran beat Tordjman to tie the game at three.

Special teams would connect again near the 11-minute mark, but this time it would be San Antonio's penalty-killers to hit the scoreboard. After breaking up the visiting powerplay and surging into the Moose zone, Chris Durno scored a shorthanded go-ahead goal to make it 4-3.

Opting for six attackers in the final minute of the game, the Moose attempted to salvage their lost lead, but San Antonio's third-period push proved too much and the Moose dropped their third straight game at San Antonio Sunday night.
