Despite trailing 3-1 after two periods of play, the Manitoba Moose scored three unanswered goals in the third period to beat the Milwaukee Admirals 4-3 Saturday night. Four players -- including rookies Mason Raymond and Michael Grabner -- scored for Manitoba, while Drew MacIntyre stopped 23 of 26 shots for the win.

First Period

With go-to goalies Drew MacIntyre and Pekka Rinne manning both nets, the Moose and Admirals faced-off in a rematch Saturday night. Manitoba started strong offensively, testing Rinne with four shots within the game's first 90-seconds.

Two minutes later, the Moose were on the receiving end of their first man advantage as Milwaukee's Mike Santorelli was called for hooking. Although the club was eager to score their first powerplay goal since last Friday, Rinne and the rest of the Admirals kept the puck out of the visitor's net.

Three more powerplays, exciting scoring changes, and a handful of stellar saves -- including one by rookie Moose defenceman Daniel Rahimi -- highlighted the rest of the period, but the game remained scoreless after 20 minutes of play.

Second Period

Up 14-8 in shots at the end of the first, the Moose killed off their fourth penalty in the first two minutes of the second. After the PK, the Moose firmly planted themselves in the Admirals zone and persistently plugged at Rinne.

Despite a rush of Moose shots, the Admirals would be the first to hit the back of the net when John Vigilante out-played MacIntyre to put Milwaukee up 1-0. Moments later, a short scuffle near the Moose net would result in a cross-checking penalty to Zack FitzGerald, and with Manitoba down a man, Cody Franson snapped up Rich Peverley's rebound and extended the Admirals' lead to two.

With 2:30 left on the clock, Captain Mike Keane closed the gap for the Moose. Receiving a slick pass from Pierre-Cedric Labrie at centre ice, Keane closed in on Rinne and beat him top corner. Only 11 seconds later, Milwaukee regained their two-goal lead, as a patient Matt Ellison fired through MacIntyre's five-hole to put the Admirals up 3-1.

By the end of the second, the Moose were down two goals but led the shot-count 23-19.

Third Period

Fresh from his first goal of the season last night, rookie Mason Raymond made it two in a row five minutes into the final frame. Carrying the puck towards the Admirals net, Raymond circled around the back and wrapped it past Rinne to put the Moose back within one.

Not willing to be outdone by his fellow first-year, Michael Grabner tied the game two minutes later. Positioning himself just outside Rinne's crease, Grabner waited for a bang-on pass from line-mate Colby Genoway and fired it past the Milwaukee goalie for his fourth goal of the year.

Genoway continued to encourage the scoring surge. At 10:18, the Manitoba-native passed the puck to Nathan McIver at the point, who snapped it through a jumble of players and into the net, giving the Moose their first lead of the game.

Despite a valiant attempt to regain their lost lead, the Admirals failed to score an equalizer and the Moose completed their comeback with a 4-3 victory.
