Despite suffering penalty troubles and trailing 3-0 early in the game, the Manitoba Moose bounced back with six unanswered goals to manhandle the Admirals in Milwaukee Friday night. Cory Schneider stopped 32 of 35 shots for his second professional win, and six Moose players posted multi-point nights in the victory.

First Period

Making his fourth professional start for Manitoba, Corey Schneider completed the first four stops of the game while Admirals netminder Pekka Rinne waited to face a shot.

Shortly after Juraj Simek tested Rinne's reflexes, the Admirals' Antti Pihlstrom was called for tripping, offering the visitors their first powerplay of the game. But Milwaukee proved why their penalty killers are the AHL's best, as none of Manitoba's three powerplay shots made it to the back of the net.

A hooking penalty to Jimmy Sharrow at 11:30 gave Milwaukee their first man-advantage, and Mike Santorelli accomplished what the Moose could not, pouncing on a pass from Matt Ellison to put the Admirals up 1-0.

Consecutive penalties to Manitoba's Mike Brown kept pressure on the Moose PK through the final minutes of the first. An additional hooking minor to Zack FitzGerald forced a 77-second five-on-three, but expert shot-blocking from both Schneider and Mike Keane kept the Moose within one heading into the first intermission.

Second Period

There would be no rest for the Moose at the start of the second, as Alexandre Bolduc headed to the box 45 seconds in. Like he did midway through the first, Milwaukee's Santorelli made Manitoba pay the price, sneaking a shot past Schneider to put the home team up 2-0.

Penalties to Colby Genoway and Greg Classen soon gave the Admirals another two-man advantage, but a second penalty to Pihlstrom eased Manitoba's penalty-killing effort.

Eager to redeem himself for his two previous offenses, Pihlstrom positioned himself at the point and one-timed Milwaukee's 23rd shot past Schneider. The goal would make the Admirals 3-for-8 on the powerplay midway through the second period.

Less than two minutes later, rookie forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie converted Brad Moran's rebound into Manitoba's first goal of the game, cutting Milwaukee's lead to two goals. A second second-period powerplay gave the Moose another chance to narrow the gap, but Rinne stayed solid and kept the puck out of the home net.

A short scuffle near the benches sent Kelsey Wilson and Mike Brown to their respective dressing rooms with 45 seconds left on the clock, and the punches seemed to put the pep back in Manitoba's step. In the final second of the middle frame, Brad Moran routed Rinne to put the Moose within one.

Third Period

Matt Ellison's holding penalty gave the Moose their fourth powerplay of the game, and Bolduc took full advantage of the man-advantage. Scoring his fourth goal of the season with help from Mason Raymond and Sharrow, #49 tied the game at three two minutes into the third.

The Moose comeback continued three minutes later. Accelerating into the Admirals zone during five-on-five play, rookie Michael Grabner scored Manitoba's fourth unanswered goal to give the visitors their first lead of the game.

A flurry of shots resulted in Manitoba's fifth consecutive goal, and the third Moose rookie to score -- Juraj Simek -- put the Moose up 5-3.

Opting for the extra-attacker with two minutes left, Milwaukee pulled Rinne, opening up the empty net for Classen's second of the year. A former Admiral, Classen's goal would secure a 6-3 come-from-behind victory for the Moose and give Manitoba their first win of the season vs. Milwaukee.
