First Period

The San Antonio Rampage jumped out to a quick start as Yanick Lehoux scored his 18th goal of the season just 2:07 into the first period. After the Rampage dumped the puck into the Moose zone, some good fore-checking forced a turnover behind the net. From there San Antonio forward Joel Perrault snapped a quick pass to Lehoux, who made no mistake beating Manitoba goaltender Drew MacIntyre with a hard wrist shot. Pascal Rheaume picked up his 14th assist of the season on the goal.

After going almost half the period without recording a shot, the Moose finally put Rampage netminder David LeNeveu to work at 10:25 with two quick shots from in close. Two nice pad saves kept Manitoba off the scoreboard.

Yannick Tremblay was called for tripping at 11:02, but Manitoba's solid penalty killing unit held the visitors to only one shot.

A late period powerplay gave Manitoba a chance to even the score with 4:37 to play, as Patrick Fischer went to the box for tripping. :25 seconds later, Joe Callahan was called for holding the stick giving the Moose a 5-on-3 powerplay, and the home team took advantage. Some good puck movement helped Yannick Tremblay get set up in the San Antonio end near the right face-off circle, and at 17:04 he blasted his 7th goal of the season past goaltender David LeNeveu. Brad Moran and Jesse Schultz each recorded assists on the powerplay goal.

San Antonio finished the first with 7 shots, while Manitoba managed 8 shots despite playing a slow, unorganized opening period.

Second Period

Drew MacIntyre was forced to make a few nice saves early in the period as the Rampage threw three shots his way in the first two minutes of play.

Manitoba's choppy play continued midway through the second period as they struggled to find a controlled flow to the game. But despite their poor play, the Moose managed to take the lead at 9:08 as J.J. Hunter won a face-off in the Rampage zone, feeding the puck to Adam Keefe who rocketed home his 2nd goal of the season past a shocked David LeNeveu.

Falling behind by a goal frustrated the Rampage as San Antonio's Keith Yandle decided to chuck knuckles with Manitoba's Adam Keefe. Keefe's right kissed Yandle's chin a few times before the pair were assessed fighting penalties.

The Moose added to their lead just over a minute later at 10:20 as Yannick Tremblay forced LeNeveu to make a quick save off a hard shot from just outside the right hash marks. LeNeveu couldn't control the rebound though, and Jannik Hansen was able to slide it past him for his 8th goal of the season to put the Moose up 3-1. Brandon Reid picked up his 13th assist of the campaign on the goal.

A few Manitoba goals took the pressure off Drew MacIntyre as he began to turn aside shots with ease to end the second period. MacIntyre made 9 saves in the period, while San Antonio's David LeNeveu stopped 10 of 12 pucks thrown his way.

Third Period

It was a battle of goaltenders to start the final period as Manitoba's Drew MacIntyre and San Antonio's David LeNeveu were both solid between the pipes.

Brad Moran was called for high-sticking at 6:36, giving the Rampage a chance to get within a goal. The Moose's unyielding penalty kill was up the task once again though, allowing only one shot on net.

Manitoba's penalty kill was put to the test once again at 10:41 when Jesse Schultz was given a five-minute major for high-sticking. Three San Antonio shots and a few solid saves later, and the Moose were back at even strength.

At 18:41 Yannick Tremblay put the icing on Manitoba's cake scoring his second goal of the game into an empty San Antonio net.

Manitoba outshot San Antonio 29-23 and improved their home record to 13-6-2-2
