By Travis Kondratuk

The Moose battled hard to get the game into overtime, scoring with 1:12 left in the third period. Unfortunately for Moose fans, the team got caught pinching at the blue line and the Admirals came back on a 3-on-1. Maxime Fortunus did his best to break up the play but the cross-crease pass from Ramzi Abid defelected off his stick over the shoulder of Wade Flaherty with just :44 left in overtime. On the bright side, the Moose did manage a point, their fifth straight game with at least one point in the standings.

First Period

Both teams traded early powerplays, generating a few good scoring chances. However, the starting goaltenders, Wade Flaherty for the Moose and Frederic Cloutier for the Admirals, both made some big saves to keep the game scoreless.

With 6:40 left in the first, Tyler Bouck was sent in all alone by Mike Keane and fired the puck off the crossbar on the best scoring chance by either team.

An entertaining but uneventful period came to an end with the visiting Milwaukee Admirals doubling up on the Moose 10-5 in the shots category.

Second Period

Wade Flaherty robbed Admirals' winger John Vigilante point blank in front of the Moose net, making the best save of the game.

Unfortunately for Moose fans, on the very next Milwaukee rush, Kelsey Wilson wristed a shot from the high slot that squeaked through the pads of Wade Flaherty, putting the visitors up 1-0. Bracken Kearns and Alex Henry drew the assists on Wilson's third goal of the season scored at 8:20 of the second period.

The second period saw a lot of end-to-end action but limited chances on both sides. The period ended with the Admirals leading 16-12 on the shot clock and 1-0 on the scoreboard.

Third Period

With Nolan Yonkman in the box for holding the Moose had several glorious chances to try and tie the game up. Lee Goren was stoned right in front of the net by Cloutier not once but twice and then Brad Moran's rebound effort was deflected over the net. The Moose continued the pressure and Brandon Reid was also thwarted trying to cut in front of the Admirals' goal.

With 1:12 left in the game Lee Goren fed a nice pass to Jesse Schultz who one-timed a slapper from the point top shelf on Frederic Cloutier to tie the game for the home team. The goal was Schultz's seventh of the year with Goren and Moran drwing the assists to send the game into overtime. Jesse Schultz, Lee Goren, and Brad Moran all extended their point-streaks on the Moose goal.

Overtime

Frantic action end-to-end as both teams let it all hang out going for the win. Just as this one looked as though it was destined for a shootout, the Admirals picked off a pass at their own blue line and broke in on a 3-on-1. Maxime Fortunus did his best to break up the play but the cross-crease pass from Ramzi Abid defelected off his stick over the shoulder of Wade Flaherty with just :44 left in overtime.

A tough loss for the home squad but on the bright side, the Moose did manage a point, their fifth straight game with at least one point in the standings. The team will now head out on a four-game road trip that will take them to Hershey and Philadelphia, before returning to face the Rochester Amereicans December 5th and 6th at the MTS Centre.
