The Moose got an unlucky break to start the game as a puck ricochet off of a Hamilton player's skate and onto the stick of a wide open Corey Locke in front, who snapped it passed Centomo for his seventh of the year.

The two teams picked up where they left off from last night as Moscevsky and Ivanans dropped the mitts. The two heavyweights each through their fair share of right hands with neither landing a solid blow, until Moscevsky wrestled Ivanans to the ground.

With eight minutes gone in the first, Manitoba had failed to register a shot with Hamilton leading the shot count 3-0.

Hamilton capitalized on the powerplay after Bieksa was given a hooking penalty. Lemieux and Jacques worked a pretty give and go in the Moose zone with Lemieux finishing the play, snapping it into a wide open net.

The Moose were given a two man advantage for 1:42 after Lapierre was sent off for boarding and Smith was given a 5:00 major penalty for catching Jaffray with a high stick. THe Moose were able to capitalize 20 seconds later as they worked a nice passing play in the Bulldogs zone that resulted in Butenschon ripping a slap-shot passed Danis.

The Moose remained on the powerplay because of the major penalty and were able to tie the game after Bieksa made a nice pass to a slashing Alex Burrows who redirected it passed Danis at 15:44.

The first period concluded with the score tied at two and Hamilton leading in shots 8-6.

Manitoba came out firing to start the second as, 43 seconds into the period, Jimmy Roy took the puck in the slot, turned, and fired a wrist shot over the left shoulder of Danis and in.

Hamilton took their third powerplay of the game at 7:03 of the second after Prestin Ryan was gated for holding. Centomo was forced into two nice saves after the Moose peanlty killers failed to clear the zone, but that was all that Hamilton would get as Ryan exited the box with no damage done.

Midway through the second Hamilton continued to lead the shot count 12-10.

Centomo made three big stops with Hamilton with five minutes to play in the second and Hamilton on the powerplay. Centomo slid across to rob a Hamilton player in front with a great right-pad save.

The second period finished with Manitoba up 3-2 and overtaking the Bulldogs in shots at 19-15.

With five minutes gone in the third, Centomo was forced into a quick pad save to keep the game even as Hamilton Centre Francis Lemieux redirected a pass right in front of the Moose goal.

Burrows had a great chance to give the Moose an insurance marker as he was sent in all alone, made a tidy deke, and went upstairs with the backhand. Danis was up to the challenge to keep his team in it as he flashed the leather to make a great glove save.

Midway through the first Manitoba led the shot count 21 to 16.

The Moose went down two men with seven minutes to play in regulation after Schultz and Bieksa were given minor penalties. The Bulldogs worked the powerplay to perfection as Pouliot took the puck at the side of the net and slipped a perfect pass across the crease to Winchester who one-timed it passed Centomo.

Hamilton came up with some late pressure in the Moose zone, but Centomo and the Moose were able to hold on send the game into extra time.

The Moose took a four on three powerplay in overtime after Brad Winchester was called for a hook on Jozef Balej. Sven Butenschon was given four slap-shot opportunities in a row as he manned the point on the powerplay but none were able to find their way to the net and the penalty expired with the game still tied.

The four on four overtime period finished with neither team scoring, forcing the game into a shootout.

All three Manitoba shooters scored in the shoot-out and Centomo stopped two of three giving Manitoba their second shootout win of the season.
