The Moose finished their road trip in style as they beat the Barons 3-1 to complete the three-game road sweep. Jesse Schultz had his 15th goal of the season and Wade Flaherty made 24 saves for the victory.

Both teams skated the first four minute with only one whistle as the clubs looked to get into their gameplans. Once again Manitoba held Cleveland without a shot for the first five minutes.
Manitoba took the first penalty of the game as DeMone was called for a hold at 5:45 of the first. Flaherty made a nice save early in the penalty kill as Josh Hennessy found Rissmiller streaking down the left wing who fired a hard wrist shot off of Flaherty's shoulder. Nearing the end of the powerplay Flaherty was again brilliant as the puck took an unusual hop off of the back boards and wound up on Iggulden's stick in front of the Moose goal. Flats was able to scramble his way back into the net and make a key save.
The Moose extended their powerplay scoring drought to 16 attempts as they failed to capitalize on an Armstrong slashing penalty midway through the first.
Jesse Schultz made his 15th goal of the season a beauty as he took a great feed from Josh Green, split two defencemen, and ripped a quick wrist shot just over the glove of Patzold.
Manitoba took their second powerplay of the game with just under a minute to play in the first as Kaspar tripped Ryan Bayda. Manitoba failed to do any more damage before the end of the first period as after one the Moose led 1-0 and were outshot in the period 9-8.
Mojzis nullified the Moose powerplay to start the second period as he was gated for a hook in the Cleveland zone.
Jason Jaffray was given a five minute major penalty as he was called for a high-stick that cut Baron's forward Tom Cavanagh at 4:28 of the second.
Early into the ensuing major powerplay Cleveland was unable to get anything going with the Manitoba penalty killers working hard to fight off checks and clear the zone. The Barons were able to gather some pressure late in the powerplay as they peppered Wade Flaherty with point shots and pressure in front. The Manitoba netminder did well to weather the storm and kept the one goal Moose lead intact as Jaffray exited the box.
The Moose had a great chance to take a two goal lead midway through the second as Balej worked a pretty give and go with Bieksa receiving the pass at the left hashmark and ripping a shot just wide of the left post.
With about seven minutes to play in the second Cleveland led the shot count 16-10.
The game got heated after McIver and Bernier decided to drop the mitts. Midway through the tilt Doug Murray attempted to jump into the fight and was given a game misconduct for being the third man in. McIver and Bernier did more wrestling then punching with McIver landing a couple of jabs and Bernier throwing him to the ground. Bernier and Mciver were given fighting majors and Doug Murray the game misconduct.
Tomas Mojzis put the Moose up two on the powerplay late in the second period as he took a pass at the point from Craig Darby and wired a shot that beat Patzold with a nice screen from Ryan Bayda.
Seconds later the Barons got one back as a Jorges shot came off the back boards that caught Flaherty out of position and allowed Shane Joseph to put it into an empty net.
The second period ended with the score 2-1 for the Moose and the Barons continuing to lead in shots 18-12.
Mike Brown started the third period in the best possible way for Manitoba with a shorthanded goal as he streaked down the right wing and ripped a slapshot over the glove of Patzold.
Manitoba was given a 5 on 3 advantage for 23 seconds as Patzold was given a minor for being outside his restricted area and Stafford was called for roughing. Patzold came up huge just as the second penalty was expiring, as Jozef Balej jumped all over a rebound in the slot an ripped a shot that Patzold turned away with hist left pad.
Midway through the third the Barons led the Moose in shots 21-19.
At 11:22 of the third Cleveland was given a two man advantage for just over a minute after Bieksa was sent off for holding and DeMone for hooking. The Barons were denied by Flaherty twice and the post once just as the first penalty expired in the two man advantage. With a little luck and some good penalty killing Manitoba was able to kill off both penalties leaving the Barons 0 for 7 on the powerplay for the game.
Cleveland could not get anything going to get back into the game as the Moose tied up the puck late in the game to kill some clock.
Manitoba controlled the puck very well in the closing seconds of the game not allowing the Barons to pull Patzold for the extra attacker. The game finished with the score 3-1 and
the shots 25-19.
